Hello to all of you.... Today as I write this column, the weather is so beautiful that I don't want to stay inside. First off, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of my Auxiliary members and volunteers who have helped with the events that we have had recently at our Post. Without your dedication, we would not be able to get things accomplished in an organized manner. The Meatloaf Dinner was great, along with the Indoor Yard Sale/Bake Sale. Thank you, Ron Stacye for doing our cooking. September will start the ball rolling with the selling of raffle tickets, to win a cash prize of $300.00. The price of these tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. The winner's name will be drawn on December 4th at the Ladies Auxiliary Meeting. I hope a lot of members will show up at the September 4th Meeting to pick up tickets to sell for this "General Funds" fundraiser September Th will be a BBQ Brisket Dinner. We will be serving from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m. The Cost will be $6.00 with proceeds going to the Cancer Aid & Research Program This has been a bad summer for sickness, falls, hospital stays, and surgeries for our Auxiliary members and Bingo players as well. I would just like to say—GET WELL, GET STRONG, and HURRY BACK—We miss you all. We sure hope to see you all soon. We need to decide on November and December activities. Remember that meetings are the First Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Thanks, Kim Stacye, President Rehabilitation (Auxiliary) Hello, once again I am asking for your help, as members, to let me know when there is a member who is ill or in times of bereavement when wishes could be extended to them. We Do Care! One of our Life Members passed away on July 6, 2008. I would like to extend my sympathies to the family and friends of Norma Maxine Culp. Our prayers are with you. Viola King, Rehabilitation Chairman (417)869-2992
Past due notices are in the mail for those who have not paid this year's dues!!! We stand at 93%. We need to be 100% by October for our President Kim to receive her award. Auxiliary 3404 has not had a 100% Membership for years. It sure would be nice!! Life Members—Have you paid your $9.90 Cancer Insurance Dues for this year? Dues must be in by October for continual coverage. Thanks in advance. Marge Little, Treasurer
These are the members who have made a donation for the parking lot repair since our last newsletter. The fund now is around $3,500 and growing. Please remember to send in your donation. Thanks to each of you! Robert/Rosemary Haymes Ladies Auxiliary Officers
